Senior Software Engineer C++
Design & Engineering
Remote working with occasional site visits near Manchester
Immediate opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer skilled in C++ and Linux, to join a design and research company and assist in developing and implementing the back-end and infrastructure features for their bespoke engineering software.
Their software is used by R&D and engineering teams all over the world and as such has a range of requirements, interfaces and uses; I'm therefore looking for an experienced C++ Software Engineer who has broad experience working in C++, from Linux and low level programming to continuous deployment using AWS.
This role is really well suited to a Senior Software Engineer who loves variety and can draw on a broad range of experiences to develop the best solutions.
Responsibilities -
-Developing high-performing applications in C++
-Planning and delivering new features
-Working with product teams and customers to understand requirements
-Developing infrastructure and components required for new features
-Working with the Front End Developer to deliver coherent, high performing software
The person I'm looking for -
-Career history working in C++ to develop software for a variety of uses and applications (rather than just one use or industry)
-Comfortable working across the whole design and development process from low level programming to front end / JavaScript integration
-Very strong Linux skills with the ability to maintain and manage Linux workstation and software development environment
-Experience with AWS infrastructure
-A team player who likes to collaborate and can communicate ideas clearly
