Machine Learning Data Engineer – London (or) York – 2-year fixed-term-contract

£47,000- £57,000

I am currently hiring a Machine Learning Data Engineer for one of our London-based clients, looking to facilitate a new in-house approach to their data science projects. As this is an entirely new team, they’re looking for vibrant self-starters, who want to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will report to the Machine Learning Product Manager Lead. You will be an essential part of the data science team, responsible for manipulating, cleansing and transforming data. You will collaborate with various areas of the business and will be expected to feedback to technical stakeholders on various findings and relevant improvements that could be made.

Your broader goal will focus on supporting the client to utilise data across their business as an asset, and using it as an opportunity to achieve a competitive advantage. The role is data-driven and will focus on enabling the data science team to maximise predictive analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence to deliver actionable results. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners and machine learning engineers. You will be expected to communicate vision, simply and effectively to key decision-makers within the business.

This role will involve:

• Working closely with data scientists by preparing data for various statistical algorithms
• Advising on solutions for key business challenges
• Mapping out data feeds and systems
• Developing best practices for machine learning

Requirements:

• Clear examples of relevant industry experience
• Experienced Machine Learning Engineer
• Experience exposing and linking data from multiple systems
• Fluent in reading/writing Python
• Experience with AWS
• Great communication skills
• Rights to work indefinitely in the UK
