Exciting Lead Software Engineer opportunity to work for a top 10 global technology company.

The role can be done largely on a remote basis if desired, so you’ll only be expected to visit the office in London once every few months.

This is a career-defining role to work on large web-scale computing, distributed systems, scalability, algorithms, and technology optimization.

You will build cutting edge and complex systems that solve challenging technical and commercial problems and be responsible for both architectural and design decisions

It’s based in the company’s state-of-the-art office in Central London with easy commuting links, but the role will also offer great remote working options.

I’m interested in hearing from anyone with a mix of the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Written and spoken proficiency in English
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and analysis
• Expert skills in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, C, C#, C++, Perl, Ruby, Scala, etc
• Strong object-oriented design experience including design and enterprise patterns
• Experience working on scalable software/systems

It would be a bonus if you have experience in any of the following:

• Experience as a Tech Lead
• Strong distributed systems and web services design and implementation experience in a Linux environment.
• A thorough understanding of Internet protocols, service-oriented architectures, and internet security fundamentals
