People Source Consulting is currently exclusively partnered with a top 5 global tech company, looking to recruit an Applied Science Manager to lead a brand-new initiative for their contextual advertising product.

As an ideal candidate, you will have extensive experience in data science and machine learning initiatives, with a focus on contextual advertising solutions. You will have a deeply analytical mindset, with a passion for complex challenges and data-driven solutions.

You will be leading a team of applied scientists, data scientists, and engineers, to leverage state-of-the-art data science and machine learning techniques, across terabytes of data, to create real-world solutions.

To be considered for this position, you will require the following skills and experience:

• 10 years+ hands-on experience with machine learning within an e-commerce setting
• Java, Python, C++ (or related language)
• Knowledge of machine learning libraries, eg: Spark MLLib, Tensorflow, MxNet, etc.
• Experience directly managing scientists/machine learning engineers
• Master’s degree (required) or Ph.D. (preferable) within:
  Statistics, CS, Machine Learning, Operations Research (or a similar highly qualitative field)
• Excellent communication skills

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing a long-term strategy for Applied Science solutions to enhance contextual ads
• Using machine learning and statistical techniques to create scalable solutions
• Informing key-business decisions
• Automating data analysis processes
• Hiring and developing top talent
• Working proactively with engineering teams and product managers
